The Ridge Hotel on the corner of Ridge Road and Lake Avenue, 1925. It was a regular meeting place in the 1880's for Republicans selecting delegates and conducting political business. It was built in 1815 and torn down in the 1930's to make way for the Ridge Road Bridge, later to be called the Veteran's Memorial Bridge. It was used as a branch library from 1926 until its demolition.
