McCurdy's was the anchor store of the mall when it opened in October 1969. The adjacent Greece Towne Mall opened two years earlier. Sears and B. Foreman's were also premier retailers of Long Ridge Mall, which eventually merged with Greece Towne Mall in the mid-1990's to form The Mall at Greece Ridge.
