The water tower was built in response to ongoing water shortage and water pressure issues on Ridge Road. In 1957, three college students were arrested after climbing the tower as a prank.

Newly purchased Mack dump truck for the Town of Greece Department of Public Works. The Mack Truck Sales and Service Center was located at 1357 University Avenue and sold trucks, tractors, buses and rail cars.
